Before You Buy

of characters, from Farmer Green to Riley Rabbit and even Aaron
the friendly dinosaur means that there is something to interest
every child. Characters also vary slightly in detail, and lend
themselves to either large colouring of areas, or for the child
with more developed motor skills, the ability to make their own
work of art. The full set of printable characters are included
at no additional cost with any purchase of Basil and Ginger readers or full membership.
Kindergarten - Classroom
If
a child is first introduced to Basil and Ginger characters in
kindergarten, when starting school the readers are a natural extension
of what they have come to know and like. When used in the classroom
they make a great overall theme. Teachers can use individual characters
to link to other class activities. Aaron the dinosaur might lead
to a lesson on dinosaurs, and Millie skipping is a great link
to the benefits of good health and exercise
